In Christian chronicles it is cited as a Muslim fortress. In the remains that remain, two different fortifications can be seen. A previous one with a walled interior, with two entrance doors. One of them is protected by two circular towers and the second is defended by two square towers. It had another tower higher than the previous ones that today is the bell tower of the Church. The second external enclosure is later, more damaged and served as an extension to the original fortification.
