Iglesia de la Inmaculada Concepción de Huelma

, Huelma

It is one of the most notable examples of 16th century religious architecture in the entire province of Jaén. Almost all the greatest artists of the time who work in this area take part in its execution: Diego de Siloe, Francisco del Castillo el Viejo, Andrés de Vandelvira and Francisco del Castillo, el Mozo, among others. The works of this temple begin in the middle of the century at the head, still with Gothic criteria, but the rest of the factory already incorporates the new classical language of the Renaissance. Outside, the south facade stands out. The north façade follows the same scheme and the four-body tower is attached to the west façade. Declared a Site of Cultural Interest.
