The Cerro de San Cristóbal on a hill that delimits the municipalities of Jaén and La Guardia

Its northwest face belongs to Jaén and is a private mountain, with a repopulated pine forest. Its southeast face belongs to La Guardia and corresponds to a mountain of holm oaks and scrubland, very altered by the hand of man. Despite this, it has the attraction of the ascent to the hill by the "old road", the visit to the Cabrera Cave (whose Neolithic vestiges have just gone down in history when the entire cave burned) and the arrival at the recreational area of ??the Allanadas del Santo. It has the Hermitage of San Sebastián (patron of the Guard) and tables, barbecues, a small soccer field and one of the seven geodesic vertices of the municipality of Jaén.

This one with the attraction of being placed on top of a 4-5 meter high pillar, with a ladder to climb.

The proximity to Jaén 15/20 minutes allows your visit on these summer afternoons with the possibility of having a picnic there with the family, after the small route. Access is from La Guardia, next to the Castle.
The photos correspond to two afternoons, almost consecutive.
