Turrillas Stream is home to a remarkable series of conglomerates, mud and clay containing carbonates of continental origin, which together form a spectacular array of layers
This set of layers stands out in sharp relief from the surrounding terrain and substantially overlaps neighbouring materials from the Triassic Period. It is a magnificent example of the interior of an alluvial fan, nourished by the Prebaetic landforms situated immediately to the north.
