This municipality is part of:

A small township founded by King Carlos III in the 18th century, located in the southwest of the district of Condado. Here, the countryside alternates between farming land, dominated by olive trees, and grassland and meadows for livestock and small game hunting. The sierra boasts many hidden sites of natural interest, especially along the river basin of the Guadalén, where it is possible to fish for carp. A highlight of the town’s historical and artistic heritage is the Iglesia de la Inmaculada Concepción (Church of the Immaculate Conception), built in 1769 following the same model as the other churches in the colonisation initiative. It features a simple neo-classical façade over which is an airy steeple made up of two levels of arches. The Torre del Reloj (Clock Tower) was built in the 18th century is a popular sight with visitors.
