Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Fuensanta

The most valuable cultural asset of this industrious town, from a strictly architectural point of view, is the parish church of Nuestra Señora de la Fuensanta. Its origin dates back to the 16th century and its artistic lexicography is Renaissance, although without stylistic fanfare or great pretensions in terms of its proportions or constructive solutions.

Its interior consists of a single box floor -or what is also known as a container-, divided into three naves that support smooth shaft columns with Doric capitals and sparsely decorated pointed arches.

Externally, the church has two bodies separated by molding with two sober façades framed by semicircular arches. The lateral façade, the one facing the Fuente de la Negra, is of greater proportions than the lateral one that is situated in perspective with the access street to the town center.

The most unique element of the church's factory is its tower, located laterally in the corner between the two façades. It is not exempt, but integrated into the building, surpassing and still adding a third body for a bell tower, with gaps covered by semicircular arches.
