Program

The Pilgrimage of the Virgen de la Cabeza, which is held in the heart of the Sierra Morena, constitutes an impressive manifestation of Marian fervor, adorned with the colors of the banners and flags of each of the Brotherhoods arrived from all over Spain. It is considered one of the oldest in Spain and also one of the most massive.

It is celebrated on the last Sunday of April with the presence of hundreds of pilgrims, who make a pilgrimage to the sanctuary that weekend, located on the Cerro del Cabezo, and preceded by a week full of liturgical, cultural and festive events, which allow at the same time, enjoyment in the natural park of Andújar. Sunday is the big day with the procession of La Morenita around the sanctuary.
