Alfarería Melchor Tito

Calle Fuente Seca, 17. 23400 - Úbeda How to get

After finishing his studies of Design at the School of Art in Granada, Melchor decides to join, together with his father, the family pottery workshop located in the mythical Valencia Street in Ubeda, an artisan and pottery area. This workshop dates back to the city's Arab period (before 1234) and is still preserved today, even with the three impressive original Hispano-Arabic kilns. One of them, the one used by Melchor Tito for the baking of his most special creations, is perhaps the oldest and largest oven in operation in all of southern Europe, as it predates 1234. He offers the most traditional pottery, respecting the techniques and forms of his ancestors with a clear Arab influence in terms of design, colors and finishes. Of the highest quality, his pieces are unique and exclusive, thus ensuring the authenticity of Melchor Tito's pottery.
