Path of La Gitana

, Linares

This Path, in its journey, not only recovers the cattle route of the Masegosas Way at its beginning, but also does it when returning to Linares by the old Siles Way, also called the Stone Way. This path does not present any loss and is marked by some stone walls. We leave the cattle track turning to the left when we reach the first crossing, a few meters away from another crossing with the San Adriano Well road, which we can visit if we leave the route. Our route continues to cross the Greenway and reach a junction where we turn right along a path next to an electric tower that continues between olive trees.

El Pozo de la Gitana, an ideal resting place where we can be surprised by a spectacular rainbow effect produced at the mouth of the well.

A lane connects on the right with the path. We continue to the right and after about 100 meters we find some ruins, driving later a short and light descent to the San Roque urbanization in front of a slender chimney on the Guarromán road. On the road and on the left you have to walk about 250 meters to a track between the houses that we take turning again to the left. The path descends gently through an area of pastureland to reach the Pozo de la Gitana, but not before opening and closing a fence that acts as a gateway to prevent free passage.

The Pozo de la Gitana is an ideal resting place where we can be surprised by a spectacular rainbow effect produced at the mouth of the well. We arrived at the Well of the Souls, there in a table of interpretation the most interesting places of the zone are recognized. There is the crossroads with the Adaro mines. Without deviating, during the descent to the left is the Well of San Isidro, more down after a valley the way ascends leaving to its step and to the right the Well San Francisco 2º, and culminates in the Plant of Solid Residues, where it is continued by the highway, that you only have to leave after passing the junction with the Mine of Los Quinientos and take a path that starts on the left crossing the Greenway next to a ruined hut connecting with the path Fundición de la Tortilla, PR-A 265, which together use the Camino de Siles to reach Linares.
