The Obispo Bridge, one of the first of the Hispanic Renaissance, is made up of 4 unequal barrel vaults, made of sandstone ashlar masonry, arranged in courses of uneven height. The slope is sloping, and has a quadrangular tower at its highest end. The piers that support the arches, have cutwaters, and are finished off with a factory parapet.

Inside the tower there is a chapel, which can be accessed from the bridge road, through a door with archivolts, with tombstones on both sides with inscriptions alluding to the bishop of Jaén, D. Alonso Suárez de la Fuente del Sauce. , who was the one who financed it. Above the door, three shields reproduce the arms of the prelate. On the three remaining faces of the tower, there are flared and semi-circular windows, also topped by shields.
